Hobbs DAISY AND BUTTON pickle canoe pickle castor EAPG Hobbs blue DAISY AND BUTTON pickle canoe silver plate castor. The pickle castor was made circa 1880 - 1900. The insert was made by Hobbs, Brockunier and Co. and measures 3 inches in width, 8 1/2 inches in length and 3 1/4 inches in height. The silver plate frame measures 4 3/8 inches in width, 9 3/8 inches in length and 4 1/4 inches in height. The frame is stamped on the bottom, "WARRENTED BY QUADRUPLE PLATE HOMAN SILVER CO. 1099 SPECIAL METAL" and the fork is stamped on the back, "O. S. SILVER CO.". There is a chip and two bruises on the rim of the insert, all as shown in the pictures. The insert weighs fourteen ounces and the entire castor weighs one pound and seven ounces. The item is in excellent shape and has no damage other than there is a chip and two bruises on the rim of the insert, all as shown in the pictures.
