This coffee grinder has already lasted a lifetime and it undoubtedly has a few more still in it! I updated the springs and the burrs, and adjusted it to run from a French press grind to an espresso. The original glass (no chips or cracks!) and lid are included, and you can see by the photos that it is in overall great shape, with only a few nicks in the original black enamel paint. Even the cord Is in great shape for its age!Originally designed in 1937 by Hobart, the company sold its KitchenAid brand to Whirlpool Corporation where KitchenAid remains as their "professional" home appliance brand. This grinder is so great, they revived this model several years ago as their KitchenAid KCG200 using a nearly identical design, which enabled me to replace the old burrs with a brand new set.Honestly, I love this grinder. if I had a continued need for one, I would keep it, but I'm in the coffee business and I have more grinders than I could possibly need. It's time to pass this one on. BIN price includes the installed brand new burrs, a $40 value on their own.
