up for auction, are these historical pictures of the making of the New River Gorge Bridge. Designed by the Michael Baker company construction began in 1974 and was completed in 1977 at the cost up 37 million dollars . The 1700 foot arch span makes it the largest single-span Arch Bridge in the world. Due to its importance it is closed the third Saturday of every October for pedestrians to explore the bridge and allowing them to base jump 4 a few hours that day only. These are really interesting photos and I'm just hoping that someone that is in one of these pictures recognizes himself. There are over 70 pictures, and all are in excellent condition. All pictures measure of full 8 by 10 . Thanks for looking. Obviously, I can't post every picture. But they are all of importance.
