If you missed the other ones of these we listed, is your third and final chance - last one! is an American View Historical Staffordshire cup plate in light blue transfer. The view featured on this cup plate is from the "Catskill Moss" series and is "Wilkes-Barre" or "Vale of Wyoming," taken from Bartlett's "American Scenery." This cup plate was manufactured by William Ridgway, Son & Company of Hanley, circa 1844. It measures about 4 inches in diameter. This cup plate is in EXCELLENT condition - the glaze is very bright. I see maybe one or two EXTREMELY minor glaze surface scratches which are almost invisible and only detected under careful scrutiny while tilting the plate in the light. T are three very minor in-the-making stilt marks on the front. T is some extremely mild overall crazing. This cup plate is very near mint. T are three labels attached to the underside, one is the "Ludwig Sale," another reads "A47," and the third reads "#7 Catskill Moss." The underside features a blue transfer date lozenge and and some impressed symbols. This cup plate was from the famous Esther Ludwig collection that was auctioned by Freeman's last year. Please check our other auctions as we will be listing many cup plates as well as other Staffordshire and early Americana throughout the week! **Any bright white spots you see in the photographs are read more
