F.H. Cowden Harrisburg PA Stoneware Crock Offered is an original F.H. Cowden two-gallon crock manufactured in Harrisburg, PA. During the late 1800s. F.H. Cowden was a highly regarded Central Pennsylvania pottery. The crock stands 7 inches tall, measures 8-1/2 inches in diameter, and holds two gallons of liquid. It has a well-struck F.H. Cowden Harrisburg stamped mark just under the rim that measures two inches across. The exterior of the crock is a tan salt glaze with the interior being dark chocolate brown. There are three chips on the rim--the two smaller chips (shown in photo 3) each measure 1/2-inch across and the larger chip (shown in photo 4) measures 1 inch across. There are no cracks.
