Antique Griswold #8 cast iron waffle maker. This was an item that was passed down through my family. I have used this to make waffles over a gas burner. It is clean and is not rusty, as it has been seasoned. There are three separate parts to this, as you can see from the photos. The handles are simple wooden dowels and they show signs of being burnt, as it was used over flame. The wood handles were held in place with a tiny nail and they can easily be replaced. - I found the ones it currently has to be pleasant, so I never changed them.
