3 GREAT LAKES Indian BEAD WORK Examples... NEEDLE Case, PIN Cushion and WHIMSEY .Circa 1860'sOffered for your consideration are three examples of Native American bead work. Possibly Great Lakes Mohawk from Upper New York State. They consist of a Needle Case which has a date of 1862, a Pin Cushion Case and a Whimsey. The trade cloth on all show some degree of wear. The translucent glass beads seem to be intact for the most part, however there is some minor bead loss. The Needle Case flap has separated and needs to be re-stitched.
