This is a vintage postcard (approx. 5 1/2" x 8", and printed very shortly after the shows, in early 1967, by Bill Graham. The printing of this card was authorized by Bill...this is not a later reproduction, and it is identical in image to the original poster), promoting a pair of shows featuring the Grateful Dead & Jefferson Airplane. These shows took place August 12 & 13, 1966 at the historic Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. This classic psychedelic sixties image (the first to feature band photos...these courtesy of Herb Greene) was designed by Wes Wilson, and is the 23rd image in the Bill Graham Fillmore series. This card has been very carefully preserved for over forty-five years, and is in EXCELLENT condition...NM- (light handling in the upper right corner).
