This is an ORIGINAL blank back handbill (approx. 4 1/4" x 8 1/4", and printed prior to the shows. This is NOT the postcard) that was used to promote a series of shows featuring the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane & Butterfield Blues Band. These shows took place Oct. 7 & 8, 1966 at the historic Winterland Arena in San Francisco. This classic early psychedelic sixties image was designed by Wes Wilson, and is referred to as BG 30 in the Bill Graham Fillmore series. This beautiful card has been very carefully preserved for over forty years, and is in EXCELLENT condition...NM (no flaws, bright colors).
