This item is a vintage Graflex 4x5" Speed Graphic folding camera. It was manufactured in Rochester, NY between 1947 to 1970. It has a Optar Graflex 127mm lens (f/4.5 SN#: 928125) Graphex Full Synchromatic and Graflite Flash unit. It has flexible bellows and accepts sheet film. I'm not an expert on this item so, but I did do some research and found some background info. on the camera from a site called . It said that the Speed Graphic was an American hand-crafted wood camera and that it was well known as a press camera after the war. Apparently t were two models of Pacemaker, the Speed Graphic was kept traditional and had a newly designed focal plane shutter that was a simple but able to get accurate shutter speeds (). It's been kept in very good condition considering is over half a century old. I haven't used it so I am unsure if it works.
