Up for auction is a gorgeous antique Singer portable sewing machine. It is a model 66-1 and was made between 1921 and 1923, according to the serial number. It has the "red eye" decals from the period, which are in beautiful condition. This lovely machine comes with a beautiful oak case rather than a sewing machine table as was often situation with these. It sews like a dream. The light turns on. I have sewn with the machine and find no problems with it. It is a straight-stitch machine - it has no other stitches, and I am sure will handle multiple fabrics. T are still parts, attachments and instruction manuals for these machines available over the internet from many sources. This machine comes with several attachments. I have done my best to correctly identify them and have most of them pictured. They include:an adjustable hemmer, a binding foot, a seam guide, a bobbin winder ring, a screwdriver. a narrow hemmer, a ruffler and a tucker. T are also extra bobbins and needles, all of which store neatly in a drawer in the right side of the machine. This machine is quite heavy, and I will ship it the most economical way possible. I am unsure of the weight, but I am estimating it at 35 pounds. The buyer will be responsible for the shipping charges, as well as insurance, if desired.
