Vintage, rare and elegant.Porcelain Clown/Hobo/Harlequin figurine, made in Italy for Gumps, San Francisco.Gumps commissioned these pieces of art by Gruppo Dei Quattro in Italy, exclusively for their own stores in the 1950sThe figurine depicts a clown in wonderful pastel colors, holding a violin.This clown figure holds a violin and has so many details and colors!! A circus within a figurine. This clown measures 5" tall by 5.5" by approx. 4". ***THE ONLY ISSUE TO MENTION IS HE HAS A FEW MINOR SCUFF/PAINT FLAKE MARKS ON BOTTOM FROM SITTING ON SHELF. These marks do not show when displayed as clown is sitting. The actual clown in excellent collectible condition. Rare with the violin and fruity outfit. Please zoom into pictures as they are a huge part of my description and exactly what you will receive. ** You will not be disappointed by this clown :)It carries the artist signature as well as the sign that it was handmade for Gumps in ItalyIn case you are not familiar with Gumps, it is a very high end, prestigious store in San Francisco, world wide known for its quality and unusual items
