This auction is for a very beautiful antique early 1900s sheer silk textile fragment in a deep shade of eggplant purple, in my opinion. I am sorry that the photos do not show the true shade, but I can tell you it is simply lovely. This is salvaged from a French Edwardian dress, in which I am also listing a small fragment of the grayish lilac silk that accompanied it. The fabric is of the utmost quality and is perfect for doll clothing. It is similar to the sheerest crepe. The photos shown are sort of a combination of what it is, and I really think that one will be very pleased. The gorgeous textile measures approximately 19.5" - 20" x 12"+. S&H is $2.00
