a Peace5eighty6 Auction *** A Golden Treasury of Songs And Lyrics by Francis Turner Palgrave Illustrated by Maxfield Parrish Published by Duffield & Company 1911 First Edition Condition: A very good dark blue cloth hard cover with title in gold on the spine and on the color picture on the front cover. The corners are bumped with shelf wear to the points. There is some shelf wear to the the top and bottom edge of the spine with the start of some fraying. The gold print on the spine is still bright and sharp. The color pasted on picture on the front cover is bright and sharp with a some scuffing and scratches. The covers are clean and free of any stains. There is no writing or stickers inside. The pages are all present and securely attached. The front and rear inside paper hinges have been very neatly mended in the gutters between the illustrated end pages and is barely noticed. There is a hint of some mild foxing (age spots) to the first 2 blank pages in the front and the last 2 in the back. The binding is soli d and square and the hinges are secure. There are 7 color full page illustrations plus the picture opposite the title page. All illustrations are by N.C. Wyeth the father of American painter Andrew Wyeth. Published by the Duffield & Company, New York, 1911. Book size is 7.75 inches wide by 9.75 inches tall, 373 pages including
