GLASGOW SCOTLAND STERLING SILVER SOUVENIR SPOON 1907

An early, English, gold plated (gold washed, gilded), Sterling Silver, souvenir spoon. This was made in England for the Scottish market. It has a pierced handle reading "GLASGOW" & a separately cast & applied City crest or coat of arms in the bowl. It has a "Butler" (matte) finish to the gold & a silver twist section on the handle. It is one of a collection of over 250 souvenir spoons (just a sampling is shown in the last photos) that I will list over the next 30 days. All are 19th Century or very early 20th Century. They come from all over the world. They are all silver or mixed metal & most are enamelled. They range in size from pendant to serving. Please check my other auctions often. It measures about 5" (12.5 cm.) long & weighs 13.4 grams. It is in excellent condition for its age with no dents, gouges, bends or repairs. It has no monogram. It is perfect for gift giving. Bid now!
