This listing is for my 2011 Gibson Midtown Standard with Bigsby in Faded Red. Full specs of the guitar at: /Products/Electric-Guitars/Designer/Gibson-USA/Midtown-Standard-with-Bigsby.aspx Some similarities to an ES335 but smaller, flat topped and made from a solid piece of mahogany hollowed out and topped with maple rather than a laminate body. Importantly, this is an early model - the date code (123111581) dates it to August 19th 2011. The significance of this is that this was before Gibson were raided and had some of their wood impounded. This means that this guitar has a much more desirable rosewood fretboard rather than the Richlite boards which are all that are available now. It is a great guitar, but I have just bought a Vox Virage II which covers the same ground - hence the sale. I have had the pickups replaced with a set of Seymour Duncan Whole Lotta Humbucker pickups which are hand built exclusively for the UK market. Similar output to the original 57 classic / classic plus (which I don't still have). The pickups have been wired with a coil tap on the volume pot which taps both pickups for single coil like tones. The cheap capacitor has been changed for a Sprague film and foil one. I have also 'pimped' the guitar a bit as I didn't like the white plastic parts.
