Alma Siedhoff-Buscher created these toys, which children are still playing with and which are now collectibles. Originally, as a Bauhaus art student in the 1920s, she sold them in the Weimar Market. Though the designer was German, the box states that the wood set is Swiss made, in Zeiningen. All the pieces clearly fit into the original box and the wood pieces are in pristine shape-no nicks, scratches, nor faded colors. To the best of my knowledge this is a complete (22 piece), unused set. However, in researching, some have 20 or 22 and this one does not have an instruction booklet. The date of this set is unknown. A joy to play with (Ebay seller tested!). Please see the company's suggested designs in the photos. The original box is 10 3/4" x 2.5" x 3/4".
