Description: Here for auction is this truly superb mounted art glass ewer! The glass is a very light greenish-amber color. Round, bulbous body with tapering neck. Meticulously modeled metal mounted design, with motifs including winged cherubs and lion's heads, scrollwork and many other geometric designs, grapes and other foliate details, etc, etc. Great scrolled handle with dolphin detail, Northwind face and woman masthead design. Round base with geometrics, and acanthus leaf-molded collar. It also has a terrific matching, blown ball stopper with equally detail metal mounting. Quite Nice. It is apparently unsigned; unmarked, and I am fairly sure it is German. Measurements: approx. 14" tall approx. 6" in diameter at its bulbous body. approx 4 1/4" in diameter at the base. Condition: Very Good Condition Lightly soiled and very light signs of wear. Glass is free of chips, cracks or staining. Metal mounts are completely intact, with no missing pieces. Very nice, older German Ewer. No Reserve!!
