This is an exquisite Hotwheels Gem Mint Light Blue Continental MK III Redline Car Made in Argentina by Muky with the original box. These were made in alternate colors from the US series and are rare in superb Gem condition in original box.Argentinian die-cast history began in the early 1970s. Libio de Conti and his brother — entrepreneurs from South America living in California at the time — reputedly purchased several obsolete Hot Wheels molds from Mattel. They moved to Argentina and rented a warehouse in the small town of Gualeguay about 234 km Northeast of Buenos Aries and manufactured these cars for several years into the late 1970s and then closed because of the economy. Subsequently for a period another company in the same town took over and manufactured the Muky Line of cars with the same dies. Back in the day as many as 100 families in Gualeguay Argentina were contracted for the Muky line that hand painted these gems. These cars have unique old world artistic qualities very different from their contemporary mass produced and machine painted US and Hong Kong counterparts. This will be a real no reserve auction where we will start the bidding at $1.00 no reserve. Enjoy and
