SEE FULL DESCRIPTION BELOW.The B-side “Lightning Lady” is a sonic attack, a 100mph bovver rock/tuff glam/proto-punk Slade-style monster (very 'Them Kinda Monkeys Can't Swing', but even faster with a similar run of ascending chords). The A-side starts with T.Rex-style strings leading into a very decent Bay City Rollers/Wombles-sounding glam-era pop song. When they weren’t wearing brightly-coloured flared catsuits adorned with a giant “G” engulfed in flames, Gang wore James Cagney-style gangster suits and hats, and, during weekdays, school uniforms.At the time of recording this follow-up to their 1975 debut ‘Run, Run, Run’/‘Easy Come, Easy Go’, Gang, five school boys from Dacars Road School, London, had been together for two whole years. Kev Munds (16) lead guitar, Paul Barker (15) lead singer, John “42” Fortescue (14) organ, Gal Dabin (16) lead guitar and John Mortimer (15) on drums had a simple philosophy: “We formed the band because a lot of under- fifteens haven’t got a band of their own. We hope to cater for the 8 to 10 year olds.” These “rip roaring teenage rockers” inspired their following of South London school girls to invent the ‘Run’ dance to their first single, and Bravo-reading German teenagers to cover their walls in Gang grafitti. “Do you believe in GANGDEMONIUM???” This is a rare promotional copy in its original company sleeve. The single has a gentle warp, which doesn’t seem to affect the singles playability.
