LOT 1077Seller's Estimate: USD 800 - 1,200First quarter 19th century, two-train movement signed ''Hemon / A Paris'' for maker Claude Hemon, interior case stamped multiple times ''CE'' with backward C, surmounted overall by a patinated bronze allegorical figure of Hope resting against a gilt anchor, the circular floral-molded clock face with applied black Roman numeral hour markers, inset within a naturalistic boulder-form case further adorned with a gilt cornucopia, over a rectangular base with applied sedan and wreath decoration atop an outset gadrooned plinth, raised on semicircular foliate-molded feet, 16.75'' H x 11.375'' W x 4.875'' D, est: $800/1200.Provenance:Private Collection, Ventura, CACirca:Medium:Dimensions:16.75'' H x 11.375'' W x 4.875'' DCondition Report:Lacking pendulum and key; working condition unknown. Overall good condition, with general wear, scuffs and darkening to bronze commensurate with age. Feather-shaped adornments on left side of sedan broken off; not retained.
