A beautiful fossil undescribed Water Strider, from the Eocene deposits in the area near Smithers, British Columbia, Canada. This is an old find, apparently having been unearthed many years ago. About 50 million years old. Wings are both visible extending along and past the back of the insect.Please see photo with the US Quarter in it for size and scale. The plate weighs 0.55 oz. (15 grams).
