Rare A. Forster I Kohlmarkt Wien Porcelain and Brass Foo Dog Ink Well.Unique Estate sale find. This has been kept in storage. I found a similar inkwell with the same base selling for over 700 euro. It was from the early 19th century. I am not an antique dealer so i can only go by what i was able to find.The paint shows sign of age on the bottom but the stamp is still in tack. I am not sure if it is an orginal or reproduction. There is a crack in one of the inkwells as you can see in the picture..5 across widest point. 6.5 tallest point.Foo dog inkwell is perfect for any office asFoo dogs were originally displayed outdoors. ...Foo dogs are symbolic, protective statues.brass finishes and porcelain and brass flowers that screw down from vase to the wood bottom.Selling as is so please look at pictures no chips to the foo dog, just the crack on the inkwell.Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
