Ned Foltz is a well known folk artist from eastern Pennsylvania who has been making redware masterpieces for quite a few decades now. My former husband and I made salt glazed stoneware and often traded pieces with him and his wife, Gwen. This is one of them. It’s a large sgraffito bowl, glazed in yellow with green accents and a gorgeous tulip design carved into the clay. Signed and dated 1987. No chips or cracks, but the glaze is rather dark. 13.75” diameter, 2.75” deep
