Offered here is a Folk Art NOAH'S ARK hand made in Peru. Constructed of clay, the piece shows Noah, the ark, and many animals in an eye-catching, detailed work. It measures about 6" wide and 6" tall. The "Hand-made in Peru" label that came with it originally has been lost, but even a quick look at the piece shows that it is an example of Peruvian folk ark. The piece is in very good condition, though it has one flaw: One of the horns on the goat was broken while dusting the shelf it was sitting on. I purchased this at a shop selling Latin American folk art, and the clerk was thoughtful enough to point it out to me. It is not noticeable unless one looks for it. The last photo is an enlargement showing where the horn is missing.This has been part of my large Noah's Ark collection for quite some time, but my wife and I are now well into our 70s, and it's time to downsize.
