Flown on Apollo 14 - Beta cloth in lucite - COA signed by Apollo 14 astronaut Ed MitchellA piece of Beta cloth, flown to the Moon and back on Apollo 14, encased for display in lucite. Certificate of Authenticity (COA) included. From the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) 2010 Space Artifact Series. Awesome collector's item for display. The way the mission emblem is included at the base of the lucite is very nice and makes for a great display. Please look at the pictures in the Gallery to see.Very handsome piece. The base of the lucite has a diameter of 2 and 3/4 in. It slopes from about 1 in. tall in the front to about 3 in. in the back. The artifact in the lucite is about 3/4 in. x 3/4 in. The base includes an image of the Apollo 14 mission emblem on one side, and information about the Beta cloth on the other.The COA is signed by Apollo 14 Lunar Module Pilot Ed Mitchell, and is hand-numbered (162 0f 200). This is the same number as is on the base of the artifact in lucite, and on the box it shipped in. All 3 are included in this auction. Also note please the COA is sealed in plastic (laminated) for permanent protection.Everything is in perfect shape. Opened upon arrival to confirm contents, then just put it on the shelve.
