WWII soldiers brought home the charming Hummel figurines for their loved ones from Germany, and thousands of new collectors were born. In 1971 Schmid put out the first annual Christmas plate. On it was a precious angel carefully guarding a lit candle. This is bound to become a favored treasure in your Christmases to come! Plate has never been displayed, but box does show its age.
