FIGHTING IN AFRICA England’s Battles with the Boersin the Transvaal by J. W. Buel SALESMAN’S COPY 1887, Salesman’s Copy, Official Publishing Co., New York. Large size: 7-3/4 by 10-1/2 inches. This copy for a salesman is richly illustrated, has Partial List of Contents, and many pages of sample text (approximately 75 pages total). Ruled paper at the end for salesman to record sales (no entries). Hard cover book in Acceptable condition, clean but loose (but solidly attached). Pages are clean but browning; front end-paper is torn off and remnant of something glued inside front cover; rear hinge cracked to mesh; . Grey covers with gilt titles and maroon stamped illustrations on front are clear; spine ends and corners are worn; rear cover is part leather, obviously example of alternate cover. No dust jacket.
