This is a beautiful and exceptional piece of historic jewelry. It features various mythological characters and scenes from Greek Mythology and is done in a coin-style motif with filigree around the setting. From the very left: The Colossus of Rhodes, Minerva, Ancient Ship (perhaps Argo- from the story of Jason and the Argonauts), The Parthenon, Prometheus, Bust of Zeus (this one I'm unsure), and lastly the Lighthouse of Alexandria.The parthenon hangs at the middle of the pendant, Stamped 585 (14K) on the chain and stamped behind the necklace as well (this stamp I can't make out, but this piece has been electronically tested) so it is gold.This is a lovely piece for any collector of Greek or Ancient Mythology. It measures 18in in total length (one end of chain to the other).Feel free to ask any questions.
