Given to me to sell, I first had to do research on this artist. His name is Eugene Schmidt who was born in Germany in 1919. In 1934 he began his training from artists who had studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He is well know for his almost realistic depictions of California buildings and landmarks. He has worked in Germany, Italy, Montreal and Canada. Then is settled down in Santa Barbara. In searching for his art work I found that most of his pictures done in oil started at $200 and up. He has now passed away (2007)This is how he framed his work. He attached his painting (canvas) to wood, signed his name and on this one it shows is name, then Santa Barbara. He then double framed everything into a larger wooden frame.. The fame on this one, the shows some nicks Velvet matting is around the picture. His initials are on the front of the painting. If you have any questions please ask, but know, everything I know about this painting is what I have expressed. When shown in its frame is measures approx 13 1/2 by15
