Vintage paper scroll of the Book of Esther.Printed by Sinai Publishing in Israel in 1972, the paper carrying tube for this vintage Sefer has never been opened. Because I do not want to open this still "new" in the original packaging item I cannot show the lovely scroll inside. If you do an Internet search for "Esther Sinai Scroll" and look in the Images section you will find an example of the artwork and lettering on this scroll. The scroll is printed in Hebrew and English and has colorful illustrations.Esther was the beautiful Jewish Queen who, due to the prompting of her uncle, Mordechai, saved the Jewish people being held captive in Persia from certain death. The Book of Esther, or the Megillah, is the basis for the Jewish celebration of Purim, and the full text is read aloud twice during the celebration.Top and bottom of unopened tube is taped together and tape shows signs of wear and discoloration along tape edges. One end of tube shows where original price sticker was pulled off, and entire tube shows slight signs of wear from being jostled around for over 40 years. Please see my other vintage item listings. Free shipping to U.S. only.
