Inscribed verso, "Miss Eliz. Sayer/ daughter of Rev'd Dr. Sayer/ Born April 2nd 1697/ Married July 14th 1720 to the Rev'd John Cooke/ Prebendary of Winchester," pastel on paper, matted and framed. 10 1⁄2 in. x 7 3⁄4 in. (sight)A New Jersey collection. Elizabeth Sayer was the daughter of the Archdeacon of Surrey, Dr. Thomas Sayer. She married Reverend John Cooke, who advanced to a Canon and Prebendary of Winchester Cathedral.
