Empire Chest of Drawers. Cherry with burl front. Two ball and baluster turned pillars at front corners taper to knob feet. Four drawers. Top drawer has rectangular bead molding in center of drawer face around knobs. Sturdy with no wiggles. Top has split in wood which runs with the grain, not unusual for these pieces. Split is tight (no gap). Refinished. Beautiful warm amber color with dark highlights and satin finish. Ca.: mid to late 1800's. Dimensions: 45.8Hx43Wx22.3D. Weight 90lbs.
