Here is a scarce Edison Blue Amberol cylinder record, #4954, "The Prisoner's Song", sung by Vernon Dalhart, with Murray Kellner on violin and the well known Frank Ferera on guitar. The tune was recorded on October 16, 1924, and Edison released the cylinder in March 1925. Mr. Dalhart recorded this song for many different companies. The Victor 78 rpm version (#19627) is considered one of the biggest selling records of the 1920's. This is a nice rendition of the tune, I really enjoyed the violin playing. Cylinder plays well with relatively little surface noise. I will also include a period correct Blue Amberol cylinder box. As you might know, cylinder record sales were in severe decline by spring of 1925, this is a hard to find cylinder, most people bought the above mentioned Victor version. Add this to your collection, reasonable buy it now price given what it is, don't pass it up!Shipping to USA addresses only. $4.50 media mail postage and handling fee. Please pay within 24 hours of purchase and I will leave you positive feedback when I mail the cylinder, your positive feedback appreciated! See my store for many more cylinder records, I will combine shipping if you buy more than one, and thanks for looking!!
