THE PORCELAIN TOP HAS A PICTURE OF A MAN GREASING THE POCKETS OF A POLITICIAN OR OTHER OFFICIAL. THE INSCRIPTION TRANSLATES TO "WHO GREASES WELL, TRAVELS WELL". A LITTLE LOOSENESS IN THE HINGE WHICH A SQUEEZE WOULD FIX. IF YOU KNOW THE MARK, MAYBE YOU CAN TELL US WHO MADE IT AND WHEN. A FINE ADDITION TO YOUR STEIN OR BREWIANA COLLECTION.
