When I found this piece I thought it was free blown glass. It has a embossed pattern on it which is hard to describe. Almost like a spider web but not quite. I could not get a good photo of the pattern. Having the pattern means it was blown into a mold. I would guess they used another bottle's model to blow this one in to. The pontil mark looks like and open blow pipe type but it does have graphite in it. The graphite looks dark in the photo but it is actually gray. It has a lot of wear on the bottom typical of early glass. No damage. Displays great.
