This is a beautiful cream pitcher in the Swan on Pond pattern. The maker remains unknown at this time but some attribute the pattern to Central Glass Co. during the 1870's. A table set is shown in Yesterday's Milk Glass Today by Regis and Mary Ferson in illustrations 234 to 237 page 52/53. The pattern is recognizable by the row of blocks below the swan and the foliage. This creamer is 5-1/2 inches tall to the spout and 3-3/4 inches in diameter at the rim. The foot is 3 inches in diameter. The pitcher holds 12 oz of liquid. This pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips, flakes or cracks. There are some spots of carbon here and there in the glass that was done during the making of the piece.
