This is a beautiful amber stained 6 inch square compote in the Daisy & Button w/ Thumbprint Panel pattern. It was made by Adams & Company of Pittsburgh, PA circa 1886. The pattern was continued by The United States Glass Corp after their merger of 1891. This compote with matching lid is 9-1/2 inches tall to the top of the finial and 5-1/2 inches tall to the rim. It is 6 inches in diameter. The square matching pattern and stained foot is 3-1/2 inches in diameter. The lid does have two chips on the inside rim and is not seen when the lid is in place. The thumbprint panels are amber stained as well as the finial on the lid. This is a very nice pressing with a clear and sharp pattern. There may be some bubbles and straw marks but there are no other chips, flakes or cracks. Shipping includes insurance. (BRBC3-A-XX51)
