H ere we have a wonderful example of Dwayne Craigs pottery. Dwayne is the grandson of the late, well known, Catawba Valley potter, Burlon Craig. This crock is 10" tall and 9" in diameter and is of 1-1.5 gallon capacity. It is decorated with an applied Dogwood flower on a branch. It also has a series of deep cobalt/black vertical stripes around the piece. Additionally, it has 4 incised lines around the perimeter as well as applied "ear" handles. It is also incised with "Dwayne Craig 2002".T he piece does have flaws. The dogwood petals have chips, broken ends and the center of the flower is rough. The clay at the bottom of the pot is quite thin and cracked during the firing process. Here's your chance to pick up a great looking piece of Dwayne Craigs pottery on the cheap as it is selling "As-is" with no reserve.
