According to our research: "Elegant Glass Early, Depression, and Beyond", 2nd edition, Debbie & Randy Coe, c. 2004, Schiffer Books, Duncan made the First Love etch from the late 1930's and into the 1940's. According to the Coes, it was designed to go with the 1847 Rogers silver plate pattern also called First Love. The bowl is listed as "Relish 7" #117 Three Feathers, 3-tab handles, 3 equal sections". At the widest point, it is approx. 8 1/8" across, while the bowl itself without the tab handles is approx 7 1/2" across. It is approx. 3" high. The base is signed sterling and is excellent with no dents, could use silver polishing. This is a quality piece of depression era elegant glass with no chips, no cracks, no scratches. Shipping weight is approx. 2 1/2 lbs, shipped via USPS Priority or Parcel Post. We intend to pack this very carefully to ensure it gets to you in "Pristine" condition.
