Offered here is a SUPER COOL DUBL DUCK Straight Razor! Dubl Duck's were the razors for Hep Cats and Beatniks and all around cool dudes back in the day! Dubl Duck had quite a sense of humor when advertising their razors and this appealed to a broad spectrum of buyers from the late 1940's to early 1960's. You have to admit to having some kind of sense of humor when buying something called a "Dubl Duck!" It sort of sounds like something you would have to do when two line drives were hit at your head! Anyway, DUBL DUCK always advertised as 'THE BEST MONEY COULD BUY!' They even put their money where their mouth was be selling the ULTRA RARE "LIFETIME" or "GRIM REAPER" RAZOR. Please note, all of our SHAVE READY razors have been painstakingly HONED BY HAND! We hand hone all our razors on the FINEST hones and sharpening stones available. Depending on the razor we will use a variety of stones some of which include the legendary Belgian Coticule Hone. The Coticule has been known and used since Roman times. It is a rare stone that was only found in the Ardennes Forest in Belgium. This is almost a "magic" stone as, with correct use, it can sharpen and polish an edge. We also use ESCHER hones. These are hones of the Thuringian type, found in Germany and are VERY rare and give a superior polished edge. All our razors will be delivered to you in 100% SHAVE READY condition. This means all you do is lather up your face and use the razor! A word on lathering, this is one of the MOST IMPORTANT steps in getting the very best shave from your razors. Please, when you get ready to shave do soak your beard in warm water or with a wet towel until you feel your beard soften. LIBERALLY apply shave cream, gel, etc. to your face and work it in well. Let it sit a little bit on your face and you're ready to go. Shaving with an new razor should be a fun and enjoyable experience, but DO BE CAREFUL and pay attention to all parts of the blade, i.e. especially the point. Spike point and square point razors will quickly cut the face if you don't pay attention to where the point is going while drawing the razor across the face.
