(DH) Here's a preliminary pencil drawing by DON HECK from the "BE A HERO...JUST SAY "NO!" drug abuse comic book prepared for DC Comics. This art comes from the estate of comic book artist DON HECK and is now being offered to the collecting community for the first time, with NO RESERVE. Look for our auctions each week as we offer other rare art and comics from Don's estate. Each week I continue selling items from the SCIENCE FICTION, MONSTER and COMIC FANZINE collection on behalf of the JERRY WEIST estate. We also sell EC COMIC BOOKS, COVER PROOFS, STORY PROOFS and original FANTASY art every week from the collection of Johnny Craig. This is the 5th of several BE A HERO preliminary drawings by DON HECK that we have been selling on eBay. The supply is limited and running short. All of these preliminary drawings were prepared for the final pages of an educational comic book that featured different DC superheroes. This one depicts Superman stopping a drug dealer at an airport with a suitcase full of drugs. This preliminary pencil drawing which is drawn on a really nice linen paper has an image area measuring 6" x 8 3/4," and is in EXCELLENT condition.
