appx. 10.5" lot of 6 plates, dinner-size, rim-shape mid century modern design STUDIO LINE DINNER PLATES, with hexagonal cavetto (plates is round, rim is cut off and shaped hexagonal) transitions from round to hexagon, with rim sections in 2 tones of blue on medium gray ground color, made by Rosenthal, Germany, no date (50s/70s likely) in excellent/ perfect condition with little or no wear, no crazing, loss, damage , restoration or discoloration. This is a simple and elegant Rosenthal table service pattern whose modern design works off of color blocking and unexpected shape--the tension between round and geometric. Pleasant modern blue gray color scheme.. Scarce, excellent condition. Raised Studio Linie white cartouche Rosenthal script mark on bottom. Paypal, US$.
