This is a Dieges & Clust 1916 Sterling Medal. On the front are two runners, an American Flag and an Olive Branch. The back of the medal reads "N.Y. NATIONAL GUARD BENEFIT. 3RD HONOR 2 MILE WALK. JULY 29, 1916" Below is stamped "DIEGES & CLUST STERLING" The medal is attached to a red, White & Blue American Flag Ribbon with pin and is displayed in an original cardboard box coverd with glossy burgundy paper. The box is in very poor condition. The medal has not been cleaned or enhanced in any way. The inside box top displays a Dieges & Clust logo and reads " Manufacturers & Jewelers 15 John St New York. Medals - Badges - Class Pins - Cups - Trophies - Watches, Diamonds - Jewelry".
