Optical Crystal Dichroic Glass Beveled Cube Sculpture on base FREE SHIPPING Size: 60mm. 2 3/8" cube x 4" high It is hard to describe how incredibly beautiful this newly designed glass sculpture is! Depending on where you place it and what type of light is hitting it, (natural light coming from the outdoors through a window or interior lights that are either incandescent, fluorescent or halogen), the colors, patterns and sparkle will vary.We sell this dichroic optical crystal glass sculpture in seven sizes. The size we are offering in this auction is the Small size. (There are also two smaller sizes and four larger sizes.) This newly designed cube differs from the cube we have offered on Ebay in the past in that there is a "V" bevel on all edges of the cube to give it a softer look. We call it the "Marshmallow" look. These sculptures are created with technologically advanced as well as artistic techniques. Every angle you view the glass sculpture from shows a different pattern of colors and light reflections, including some areas that will be totally clear with no color. The internal reflections and refractions of the dichroic coatings embedded in the crystal sculpture grab the light and create incredible sparkle. The photo shows only an approximation of what you will see in your own home or office. Every situation is different as to the colors produced and the intensity of light reflected from the cube. HOW THIS CUBE IS MADE: this optical crystal dichroic glass cube, set on an optical crystal beveled base, has ground and polished beveled edges and concave facets on three sides. The sides with facets have a dichroic coating that produces a wide range of colors, from soft pastel blues, pinks and turquoise to magenta, yellow and even green. Seen through the interior of the cube, the concave facets become convex mirrors. The cube responds to light extremely well, and even if placed near a window without additional light, it will radiate colors in varying intensities. The internal reflections and refractions add extra sparkle no matter where you place it. The cube looks wonderfully different from every angle and in different light situations, so you can choose how you want it to look by the lighting and angle that you place it in your home or office.
