The Beach Boys founding member Dennis Wilson (1944-1983) released his first and only solo album - Pacific Ocean Blue - Aug. 22, 1977 on the Caribou Records label. Warmly received by critics, it was noted for outselling Beach Boys releases of the same time. Offered here is a Caribou Records white label promo w/facsimile note from Wilson, noting this was his first solo album and thanking recipient for their support and asking for feedback. End of note has "Thank You," under which Wilson has signed in black felt tip pen. Note's opening "Dear Marge" is also in Wilson's hand. Printed postscript mentions Brother Studio, where Wilson recorded this album. Included record is NM. Album cover has 3.5" edge split at top left and is Fine overall, but remains Exc. for display. Comes w/JSA LOA.
