Vintage 1961 Dainty FASHION FLOWER AB Rhinestone Clip Earrings Sarah CoventryDescription FASHION FLOWER EARRINGS, DAINTY SIZEGOLD TONE CLIP EARRINGS WITH SCARLET AURORA BOREALIS RHINESTONESVINTAGE 1961 SIGNED COSTUME JEWELRY BY SARAH COVENTRY ITEM # 7875 These sparkling and pretty earrings are from the earliest years of Sarah Coventry, first offered in 1961 according to IDENTIFYING SARAH COVENTRY JEWELRY 1949 - 2009 by Sturdivant and Crabtree. They feature "scarlet aurora borealis stones" glistening on filigree petals in "full bloom" and in the central "bud-like" artwork, with a gleaming gold tone finish. Measuring about 1 1/4" in diameter and 3/8" high, these dimensional earrings were called "dainty." Sarah Coventry also made a larger pair that they called "daring," as well as a matching brooch. These earrings are certainly sparkling and shimmering. They are in very good vintage condition, as you can see from our photos. These clip earrings are actually rather lightweight and comfortable.
