FOR SALE RARE, MODEL OF A RAILWAY COAL TRUCK / TENDER , BEARING THE CREST OF THE BIDDENDEN MAIDS MOTTO " A 3 4 Y IN 1100" ACCORDING TO TRADITION, TWIN SISTERS ELISA AND MARY CHULKHURST WERE BORN JOINED AT THE SHOULDERS AND HIPS IN THE YEAR 1100. THEY LIVED FOR 34 YEARS IN THIS WAY UNTIL ONE OF THEM DIED. THIS MEANT CERTAIN DEATH FOR THE OTHER WHO SUCCUMBED SHORTLY AFTERWARDS AS THEY WERE BEING CARRIED ON A STRETCHER TO THE CARE OF THE MONKS AT BATTLE ABBEY. MAKER.........CARLTON CHINA VERY GOOD CONDITION, NO CHIPS, CRAZING or CRACKS, MINOR WEAR TO THE GILDING.
