Heal's of London mahogany sideboard circa 1930 comprising three central drawers flanked by cupboards, both with locking doors and shelving inside, on an h-support base. This iconic piece recalls the Cotswold style of Ambrose Heal and Arts & Crafts design. The mahogany bears a rich figure, being in good sturdy condition with a few marks here and there. Ivorine accents to turned drawer handles and ebonised chamfered edging overall add contrasting colour. The frieze is slightly loose but has remained unchanged for three years. A stunning piece of design from the most famous of British modern cabinetmakers. CONDITION: There is a small spot of super-glue to the upper right hand corner of the top surface of the sideboard. It is 2 inches long and 1/2 an inch wide and has a small white bit of paper adhered to it. It would be carefully sanded off without too much trouble.97cm high, 123cm wide, 50cm deep.
