Civil War GAR Medal/Badge/Ribbon 1911 New York Encampment. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class. This is a heavy medal measuring 3 3/4" long by 1 3/4" wide. Ribbon and pin are both sturdy and problem-free. The ribbon says "Niagara Falls June 8-10, 1911. It has a beautiful orange bronze patina on the top section of the medal as well as on the bottom medallion. The top of the metal says "DELEGATE". On the front of the bottom medallion is the name "DeWitt C. Hurd Department Commander". The back of the medallion says "45th Annual Encampment Department of New York GAR" with a scene of Niagara Falls. The color of this medal is gorgeous and looks to have hardly ever been worn.I am liquidating a relative's large collection of Civil War and other military medals. I have many more medals from all over the U.S. but I've noticed that I have a great deal of them from Pennsylvania and the Pittsburgh area.I am new to selling on eBay, so if there are any problems, I will do my best to resolve them.
